No, the Conference is not cancelled, but postponed and we are pleased to share the new dates: November 8 to 13, 2020.
Yes, the Summit was also postponed and will take place November 8 and 9, 2020.
The Micronutrient Forum 5th Global Conference will now take place on November 8 to 13, 2020 and the Second Global Summit on Food Fortification will now take place on November 8 and 9, 2020.
Because of some adjustments to the Conference Opening Ceremony, both events will start on Sunday, November 8. The overlap in programming will be minimal. More details will be provided closer to November. Those attending the Summit should plan on an early-morning start at BITEC on November 8.
Yes, we are pleased that the Conference and the Summit will both be held at the original venue, BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand.
With respect to the 5th Global Conference, together with our Conference and Program Committees, the Local Organizing Committee worked hard to create a strong conference program with a regional focus. Keeping the Conference in Bangkok is allowing the Local Organizing Committee and the Southeast Asia nutrition and micronutrient communities to showcase regional program success.
All registrations will be automatically carried over to the new dates: November 8 to 13, 2020.

In the event that you cannot attend the rescheduled conference, you may apply for a refund, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis and processed post conference. To request a refund please contact MNF Registration (email@example.com).
There will be no Early Bird rates offered for the new dates. If you cancel and re-register later in the year, you will be charged the full registration fee.
If you booked a hotel room at the Landmark Hotel through the Conference reservation system, information will be sent to you in the coming days.
If you booked your hotel in any way other than through the Conference reservation system, including with the Landmark Hotel, you will have to contact the providers directly to cancel your booking.
We cannot reimburse any costs incurred for AirBnB reservations or similar online accommodation booking systems.
We are not able to cover change fees charged by airlines. If you received a travel grant for the Conference from the Micronutrient Forum, please contact us to discuss changes to your travel. If your travel is supported to the Summit, please contact GAIN.

Registration fees deadlines
Early registrations will be accepted until Friday 10 January 2020, midnight CET.
Should your registration remain unpaid on Friday 24 January 2020, early registrations will be upgraded to the regular registration fee.
As of Wednesday 04 March 2020, late registration fees apply for every new registration.
Should your registration remain unpaid on Wednesday 18 March 2020, late registrations fees will be upgraded to the Onsite registration fee.
From Thursday 05 March 2020 & onsite, late registration fee applies for every new registration.
Modification and Cancellation
For cancellations received prior to Wednesday 19 February 2020, midnight CET, deposits will be refunded less 25’% administrative charge. After this date, no refunds will be possible.
A handling fee of 40 USD per registration will be charged for every registration modification received from Wednesday 19 February 2020.
If a badge is lost or forgotten onsite, an administrative fee of 80 USD will be charged for the reprint of the badge after identity verification (passport, driving license or other recognised identification documents).
GENERAL HOTEL POLICY
MCI acts as an agent for accommodation bookings and MNF 2020 accepts no responsibility for any recommendations given or any transactions made.
Hotel check-in time is 15:00. Should you wish to check-in earlier, extra costs may apply.
Check-out time is 11:00. Should you wish to check-out later, extra costs may apply.
Should you be informed of any delay/late check-in or cancellation, please inform MCI as soon as possible.
Potential additional incidentals, such as mini-bar, telephone or additional room-nights are to be settled directly to the hotel by each individual guest when checking out.
Upon check-in, the hotel may charge or block an amount on the credit card to cover this guarantee, and each hotel has its own, independent policy
Closure of a hotel:
Should any of the mentioned official offered hotel(s) close between the date the contract was signed and the start of the event, MCI will do its utmost to offer alternative options to the client. If the client confirms such an alternative option, MCI will not be responsible for any difference in rates. Should the client decline the option and book in another hotel outside of MCI’s block, pre-payments made by the client for the closing hotel(s) would be reimbursed by MCI.
HOTEL DEPOSIT CONDITIONS
Individual Hotel Deposit Conditions
The Landmark Bangkok
For hotel bookings in the above-mentioned hotel, a deposit payment covering the first night is required with your reservation. Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt of your hotel deposit. This prepaid deposit will be deducted from your final hotel bill when checking out from the hotel.
For bookings of 2 rooms or more, the full payment is required to confirm your reservation.
Group Hotel Deposit Conditions
As liquidated damages, cancellation charges are calculated on projected charges (per hotel, per night, subject to all applicable taxes). In the event of total or partial cancellation of unused rooms in the block.
In the event of accommodation cancellation up to Friday 14 February 2020 no cancellations fees will incur.
From Saturday 15 February 2020 to Thursday 05 March 2020, 50% of one night will be billed.
From Friday 06 March 2020, no refunds will be possible.
No-Show (Individual bookings)
In case of no-show (if you do not check-in on your confirmed arrival date as per your hotel reservation), the hotel will only keep the number of room nights guaranteed during the booking process. For bookings guaranteed for one night only, the remaining nights will automatically be released to the hotel. The hotel will do its utmost to accommodate you should you arrive at the hotel at a later date. For bookings guaranteed for the full stay, the room will be kept for the number of nights booked.
Group Booking Cancellation Conditions
As liquidated damages, cancellation charges are calculated on projected charges (per hotel, per night, subject to all applicable taxes). In the event of total or partial cancellation of unused rooms in the block:
From confirmation to Friday 06 December 2019: 100 % of the total amount due may be cancelled free of charge
From Saturday 07 December 2019 to Sunday 05 January 2020: 30 % of the total amount due is non-refundable
From Monday 06 January 2020 to Tuesday 04 February 2020: 55 % of the total amount due is non-refundable
No-Show (Group bookings):
According to MCI’s deposit conditions, the full stay must be paid for all reservations prior to each guest’s arrivals. In case of no-show, for bookings guaranteed for the full stay, the room will be kept by the hotel. Please note that MCI will not send specific communication regarding the guests who have not checked-in on their confirmed arrival date. Should the group leader wish to receive such information, please contact MCI.
Should you be a sponsor or exhibitor, please note that you will receive instructions on how to register and book your hotel stay by email from the MCI Registration & Hotel Secretariat

During the reservation process, please tick the box and fill in the corresponding questionnaire in order to receive your Visa invitation letter. Please note that the VISA invitation letter will only be sent to participants who have paid their reservation fee.
Please note that neither MNF 2020 nor MCI will be able to contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a registrant. The invitation letter does not financially or legally obligate MNF 2020 or MCI in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the event and to obtaining a visa are the sole responsibility of the registrant. MNF 2020 and MCI do not accept any responsibility for travel, accommodation and/or other costs incurred due to the rejection of a registrant’s visa application.
